Storytelling time... Read the story, and inshallah you will get something from it :)
One day Imam Malik entered the Masjid An-Nabawee after Asar and sat down.
Prophet Muhammad SAW had commanded that anyone who enters the Masjid should not sit until he first prays 2 rakaat as a salutation of the Masjid (صلاة تحية المسجد).
Imam Malik was of the opinion however that Prophet Muhammad SAW’s forbiddance of not praying nafil after Asar took precedence and so he would teach his students not to pray the tahiyyatul Masjid if they entered between the Asar and Maghrib time.
At that moment a young boy had seen him sit without first praying the 2 rakaat of Tahiyyatul Masjid. The young boy objected him and said, “Get up and pray 2 rakaat!”
Imam Malik dutifully stood up once again and began praying the 2 rakaat.
The students sat stunned: What was going on? Has Imam Malik’s opinion changed? After he had completed the prayer, the students questioned his actions.

Imam Malik said, “My opinion has not changed. I merely feared that had I not prayed the 2 rakaat as the young boy commanded, Allah may include me with those as mentioned in this verse:
"And when it is said to them, ‘Bow (ruku' in prayer)’, they do not bow." (Al Mursalat 77 :verse 48)
