This is an add hoc order....my old freind ,Roshima called last night requested to have 25pcs choco flavour cuppies and wanted Tom & Jerry with Doraemon character.....I think everyone love these 3 character....hi..hi..made me reminiscing of these 2 creatures which Tom is fixated if not obsessed on the antics of his housemate,a little brown mouse called Jerry.Tom's career which consists basically napping and eating,is often sacrafice by thoughts about how to capture his elusive nemesis....he never succeed bcoz Jerry maybe smaller but he also smarter....hi..hi..hi..I really love to watch them on tv and also MR Doremon....

Lookin' Good

Last night we multi-tasked while holding a team meeting and having our headshots taken for the website. Today we're thrilled to see what Regeti's Photography captured! Here's my favorite one of the team stolen affectionately from their blog:To see the rest of our pretty little faces, check out the Regeti's Blog. They'll be officially posted on our website when I have the files in hand. What do you think?

The Kingdom of Bones

Here's an advance look at the paperback cover.

Launch date is September 9th, 2008, and it's available for preorder now, should you be so inclined.

More info about it on the Random House website here.

To tie in with publication I'll be putting online a free novella, In Gethsemane, for a limited period.

In Gethsemane was originally published in Peter Crowther's Heaven Sent anthology, and was included in my first collection of short fiction. It's the story of a Spiritualist and a stage magician, opponents who travel together and debate their positions nightly on the small-town lecture circuit in the years after the Great War.

I'll add it to www.thekingdomofbones.com and post details when it's up.

DC ISES at Nationals Park

You know how much we love ISES. It's really one of the best industry associations and in our local area we have the largest chapter (600+ members)! The most recent meeting was held at the brand new Nationals Park stadium. Kudos to Amy Guthridge and Sarah Denhardt for taking on the huge challenge of planning such an awesome event! Photos are compliments of Armin DeFiesta. The gate:
Here's the ISES logo on the scoreboard. This baby is 4500 square feet of high definition:
The beautiful field:
There are quite a few large spaces for private events. Here's an indoor/outdoor bar:
And the view of the game you get:
Inside there's a full bar. Check out the baseball bats built into the bottom of the bar:
And a little lounge area:
Another large event space:
Armin DeFiesta took these fantastic photos of the evening. Here he is with Amy G:
Our main man Ryan seems to be enjoying himself (he's a big baseball fan):
Armin & Ryan together. I just love Armin's expression here. :::loook into my eyes:::
ISES events are always wonderful for some great networking:
They even let us on the field for some batting practice! Here's the videographer we all know and love...Martin from Blue Sky Films:Here's our friend Rob Holley taking a swing:I've no idea who this is but when's the last time you saw a girl with heels and a pencil skirt batting on a professional ball field?Nationals Park would be such an awesome venue for a wedding....even if you're not sports lovers! The private event spaces are surprisingly elegant and private. Maybe if you already have your wedding venue this would be a great rehearsal dinner option? I'm also very proud to include the fact that the building is the very first LEED-certified stadiums in the US. That means it was built with minimal impact to the earth and is eco-friendly!

Alison & Rob's Professional Photos

Last Friday I shared Alison & Rob's story and a few of my non-pro photos (thanks Kristie!). Now, just two weeks after the wedding, I have some of the beautiful images taken by Julie Walton Shaver.

Julie is one of those rare photographers that attends the rehearsal. Here's Alison, her dad, and I practicing at Mrs. K's Tollhouse Restaurant. Since the dinner was there that evening, it made the most sense to have the rehearsal on their beautiful lawn:
On the wedding day, Alison got ready at their hotel headquarters. The Crowne Plaza in Silver Spring served as a nice base camp:Lookin' good! Kim Steele did a phenomenal job on Alison's hair and makeup: Here's Rob at the hotel reading Alison's mushy note:It takes the guys considerably less time to get themselves together:A gorgeous portrait of Alison at the hotel. At this time we were waiting for the elevator to come up to the 12th floor. Julie just snapped it by the window. Do you see what I mean about her gorgeous Suzanne Ermann gown? The Grove at Woodend Sanctuary is set up so perfectly for an outdoor ceremony:I love the images that capture pure emotion:Our newlyweds! Julie whipped through the formal portraits fast enough that she had time for some fun ones. Here's our happy couple goofing around:Instead of introducing their 14-member bridal party, Alison preferred to just announce her and her husband. Here they are making their grand entrance into the ballroom: These little birds were a big hit. Alison meticulously glued them on to each escort card. I like how they're having a party at this table:They were even on the top of the cake! Design Cuisine provided the cake and it was scrumptious. That beautiful bamboo pattern extended all the way down each tier: John W. at Creative Deejays did a great job of keeping everyone on the dance floor:
Julie somehow pulled off this gorgeous ring shot:Congratulations, Alison & Rob! You two looked so in love on your wedding day and it was our pleasure to share it with you:For a few more photos of this wedding, check out Julie Walton Shaver's blog!

Pretty peonies all in a row!

Productivity is starting to pick up in the studio. The recent spate of busyness has forced me to get more productive and learn to make multiples of items as opposed to lingering on one piece at a time ( as an artist often does! lol) I find it tough to think in 2's and 3's let alone 8's and 9's but I must pick up the pace to keep up with the custom orders on right now.

Red Bull is beginning to look very attractive at this point ! lol

hope y'all are having an awesome weekend. We spent it putting in our new kitchen in cherry red high gloss! Its very cool.

catch you guys soon.

Life in Transit

The first people to find Transit found it by mistake. They got lost in the fog and, literally, stumbled inside. For centuries the only way in and out – the only known way – was on foot. As time went by the feet doing the finding included mule train hoofs, camel hoofs and, allegedly, elephants. Once the existence of the place became more widely known, of course – it had been a dark and mysterious secret of the there-be-dragons variety – entrepreneurs drove through a road. Nowadays the main route in and out is by train. You can't fly. No one's sure why not.

Life in Transit is a new online project from David Mace, author of Shadow Hunters, Frankenstein's Children and The Highest Ground. It's an unfolding story in weekly parts published exclusively on his website. When last I looked - which was about five minutes ago - he was up to part four. They're bite-sized chunks of narrative, full of wit and invention, in a form that well suits the medium.

David and I collaborated on an ambitious online project of a different kind, a few years ago. Life on Mars - no, not that one, this was in 2001 - was a 28-day 'real time' narrative about a Red planet landing that... well, obviously everything goes horribly wrong. It was made by Mark Gorton's Multi Media Arts for E4, and was structured around a daily video feed from the lander backed up by a mass of explorable online content in the form of mission data and company communications that revealed all kinds of stuff that the crew weren't being told.

Mark had the idea, I roughed out the main story developments and the character arcs, and then cunningly left the scene while David did all the actual work. The spacecraft stuff was shot inside a WWII submarine. Hey, Galactica, eat my shorts.

It was, frankly, too much ahead of its time. It relied on a version of the Flash player that almost no one had and called for a reasonably fast connection, which no one had either. The planned five-minute videos were cut down to one minute each, and it went online in May-June of that year without fuss, fanfare or promotion.

I've never even seen it. But I don't feel too left out because nor has anyone else, as far as I can tell. I suppose the material must be stored somewhere, encoded in some form... I wonder if it could ever be revived and rerun? Or, even better, remade at its originally intended length.

Give Life in Transit a try, though. An altogether more accessible piece of online storytelling!
